ABOUT ME

ACCOLADES & EDUCATION

My career began with a competitive drive forged as an athlete, winning two Big Ten titles and competing in the NCAAs before playing professionally worldwide. That same discipline and resilience transitioned into a 25-year career leading Broadcast & Media Operations for global giants like CNN, Turner, PBS, FOX, and NBC.

Leading Cultural & Technical Shifts

My "sweet spot" is the intersection of people and process. I don’t just deploy software; I lead cultural shifts. I specialize in taking legacy teams through "culture paralysis" to achieve high-velocity output. At NBC, these initiatives resulted in a 13% increase in productivity through streamlined workflows and unified digital frameworks, and a 17% decrease in CapEx costs.

I focus on three core pillars:

• Clarity: Defining a clear, actionable mission for the team.

• Trust: Building deep relational capital from day one.

• Empowerment: Delegating the "how" while centralizing accountability.

Innovation & Authority

My background is rooted in technical exploration—from creating 3D visualizations for the Smithsonian and oceanographic research to architecting file-based workflows for PBS. I am a deep believer in the future of AI integration and cloud-based supply chains, having authored the Digital Asset Management chapter for the NAB Engineering Handbook (11th Ed).

Professional Milestones

• Executive Leadership: Managed multi-faceted teams across Operations, Engineering, DevOps, and Global Distribution.

• System Architecture: Spearheaded the deployment of Cloud Supply Chains (SDVI), MAM systems, and AI toolsets across Broadcast, Cable, and Digital platforms (Digital, Social, and Sports).

• Strategic Vision: Developed Disaster Recovery plans, contributing to a pioneered interconnection plans for PBS member stations, leading the worlds largest MAM and deploying interoperable systems, orchestrators and AI intellegence.

Ultimately, I love developing high-performing teams and implementing technology solutions that solve real-world operational challenges.
